30th Dirty Old Blasters

A big thank you to the Aztalan Cycle Club for putting another wonderful event. The track and weather were great both days… not that the club controls the weather. The Madison area did get BIG rain for almost two days just after the race. BTW….I’ve made all 30. So yes, DOB is on the schedule.

I personally want to thank Al Brhely for saving a big swap off the first jump at the start of the all important 65+ class. I did lay awake on Saturday night thinking of 5 places on the track I should have passed him,….. next year, Al. Guess he was paying me back for passing him two motos in a row, at the same place, one corner from the finish.

Don wasn’t able to attend the race, but tells us that he will post the year end scores as soon as he receives the result from Aztalan. Azzie uses a different scoring system so Don has to tally the results manually. ( there is a good joke here)

We always encourage racers to attend all the series events, but we are still seeing a more regional participation. First places are still going to the riders who have attended the most races. (just saying).

Don and this website will be sending out a notice for year end awards in the near future. We are also entertaining ideas and thoughts for 2023.

Hope everyone enjoys the MX des Nations at RedBuDDD. Go USA. I’ll be watching it from my big soft chair holding my brand new grand daughter. All good.
